Our Profile
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead
Impara was founded in 2003 with the vision of a Technology Think Tank.
The founders, all graduates of the University of Magdeburg, spent several years in the USA (amongst others at Walt Disney
Media Research Group, Viewpoints Research Institute). They are now bringing back their know-how and extensive experience to
Germany, Saxonia-Anhalt, working on making their ideas become reality in a national and international context.
We have strong relationships to local scientific institutions, universities, and other enterprises in the country as well as to outstanding
international partners, in particular in the USA. Collaborations and discussions with students in creative projects constantly provide new
stimuli. A rich pool of fresh ideas and unconventional solutions is our competitive advantage.
Our main focus is on technology and products for media authoring, mainly targeted at training and edutainment. Our work revolves around
learning environments, collaborations and computer games. Our multimedia tools are intended for school and private use, without requiring
extensive training or any programming knowledge. Our goal is to utilize new but little known techno-logies, making them easily accessible
for everyone. The vision behind all this is to facilitate the creation of content, to discover relations and to interact with others.
Our goal is to enable playful learning through scientific simulations, by multimedia art, in interactive stories or by creating your own games.
